Golden Triangle Tour with Rajasthan Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Delhi | Half-day Delhi sightseeing

Our driver will pick you up from Delhi airport and take you to the hotel. Here you will get time to unpack your baggage and take a break to refresh yourself. Post this, we will proceed for Delhi sightseeing. For a comfortable and smooth trip, it is advisable to carry a small bag for your necessary summons.

 

Destination –  Jama Masjid & battery rickshaw ride

Your first destination in Delhi will be Jama Masjid. The red-sandstone mosque is a popular spiritual center for Muslims and is located in Old Delhi. This mosque is an amazing masterpiece of Indo-Mughal architecture. Jama Mosque has a large compound.  Hence, a large number of Muslims come here to offer Namaz every Friday. We will also take you on a battery Rickshaw ride in the Old Delhi markets. 

 

Destination – Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat is a  memorial where people come to see and pay homage to the Father of the Nation “Mahatma Gandhi”. He was cremated at this place. The last word “Hey Ram” is also painted on this black marble monument. Mahatma Gandhi is known for his principles of truth and non-violence. Here, the lamp of everlasting flame keeps burning round the clock. Come here, take a stroll here and you will feel the peace and tranquility around you.

 

Destination – Rashtrapati Bhawan and India Gate (Drive Past)  

It is home to the Indian President. It has many wonderful lush green gardens, a formal hall, and huge open green spaces. Before independence, Rashtrapati Bhavan was known as Viceroy’s House. It symbolizes the sovereignty of India, one of the world’s largest and oldest Indian democracies, and its secular, plural, and inclusive traditions. 

India Gate is India’s war memorial in Delhi. It stands tall in the honor of its troopers who sacrificed their lives in the wars fought between 1914 and 1919. The partitions of the India Gate are inscribed with the names of the martyred soldiers.

 

Lunch

What’s better than having a delectable lunch after long hours of sightseeing? Nothing much certainly! We’ll go for lunch and will drop you off at a restaurant where you can fill yourself up and relax a bit. A range of delectable dishes from a number of cuisines can be tasted and rejoiced at Lunch. Delhi is famous for different types of national and international cuisine, especially North Indian cuisine dishes such as Butter Chicken, Paratha, Kebab, Chole Bhature, and many more.

 

Drive back to Hotel 

To ensure that you do not get exhausted on the first day of the tour,  the Delhi sightseeing experience will end after lunch. We will drop you at the hotel for the rest of the day. Enjoy your dinner followed by a comfortable night’s stay. However, if you still wish to explore more after lunch, you can add one more destination, Qutub Minar, on the first day sightseeing experience. 

 

Optional Destination:  Qutub Minar

The Qutub Minar is a sandstone tower constructed in the Indo- Islamic style of architecture. It is a 73-meter tall minaret built by Mughal Emperor Qtubuddin Aibak. The tower was once recognized as the Victory Tower as it was constructed to show the supremacy of the Mughal Emperor over the Delhi region. Another attraction point in the Qutub Complex is the Iron Pillar which is still rust-free even after thousands of years of its inception.

Day 2 - Half day Delhi sightseeing | Transfer to Agra

Wake up to a beautiful Delhi morning! This day will be all about exploring the architectural beauty of Delhi and Agra. Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. Our driver will be there to pick you up and will take you for a couple of sightseeing experiences in Delhi and then will proceed towards the city of Taj Mahal – Agra. 

 

Destination:  Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun’s Tomb is built in Mughal architecture that is a resemblance to the world’s Islamic monuments and buildings. The giant Humayun Tomb has beautiful greenery and pleasing views all around. The dome is built in the Persian style. A stroll inside the vicinity will give you an insight into the beautiful architecture and rich heritage of the place. 

 

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most significant holy locations of the Sikh community. It is in close proximity to Connaught Place – a hustling-bustling city’s urban center. It is related to Sikh’s eighth Guru, Guru Har Kishan. The magnificent golden dome of this gurudwara is alluring to the eyes and the surrounding here is fulfilling and peaceful to the heart. The Gurudwaras are famous for “langar” which are admired for their selfless service of feeding everyone who comes to this place. Langars are only conducted on Sundays. 

 

Lunch

After splendid sightseeing of the Gurudwara, enjoy a sumptuous lunch on your way to Agra. The distance between Delhi and Agra will be covered in around 3-4 hours with facility breaks in between.  

 

Transfer to Agra | Overnight stay in Hotel

After reaching Agra, the driver will drop you in a hotel. Have your dinner there.  Stay overnight, take good sleep and refresh yourself to enjoy the next day’s tour 

Day 3 – Agra Sightseeing

Day three is going to be very interesting as we will go to see the iconic Taj Mahal during the sunrise.  Wake up at least 30 minutes before sunrise to capture the best moments of the Taj Mahal. After the Taj Mahal, we will proceed towards exploring the massive Agra Fort – the residence of the Mughals. 

 

Destination – Taj Mahal (sunrise Taj Mahal sightseeing)

Taj Mahal sightseeing is the most amazing amongst all of the historical sites in Agra. Our driver will meet you at the hotel at dawn. He will take you to the Taj Mahal and there we will cherish and capture the architectural beauty of the monument. The iconic monument was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving reminiscence of his wife. Seeing this wonder of the world in the course of the first light is a one-of-a-kind sightseeing experience as the sun rays turn this monument’s color yellow.

 

Destination – Agra Fort

Agra Fort is another stunning red-sandstone fort located close to the Taj Mahal. It is a large fort with beautiful small complexes inside. The Amer Singh Dwar, Hathi Dwar, and the Jahangir Mahal are some of the historically significant complexes of the Agra Fort. A few of the fort’s balconies open up to the Taj Mahal and the views from there are spectacular.  

 

Lunch

Having a feast in the city of Taj Mahal is a delightful experience in itself. There are plenty of good white-glove service restaurants in the city with delightful cuisines and dishes to pamper yourself. Enjoy your meals in any of your preferred restaurants.  

 

Marble Inlay work 

Along with the momentous Taj Mahal, Agra city is treasured with the century’s old tradition of hand-made marble inlay work. The art form is now treasured by generations of master artisans who used to work for the Mughals centuries back. This marble artform is highly admirable and is even gifted to global diplomats by the Indian Government on official visits.

After an enticing sightseeing experience of the marble inlay work, we will take you to the hotel in the evening for drop-off. Take a stroll on the streets of Agra and enjoy your time here. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4 - Transfer to Jaipur

Wake up and meet our driver in the morning. Make the most of the scenic views as we will proceed towards Jaipur. There will be facility breaks in between where you can have your breakfast en route to Jaipur. You can add two unique sightseeing experiences en route to Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri. Both of them are unique in themselves and can be considered an additional sightseeing experience.

Add on Destination – Abhaneri –

Abhaneri is a small village about 95 km away from Jaipur- Agra Road. Here is a centuries-old step well that has its architectural significance and throws light on our ancient water management system.  The well is known as Chand Baori.

 

Add on Destination – Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is an old Mughal town built on the outskirts of Agra. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is widely appraised for its massive yet architecturally significant structure. During the reign of the Mughals, Fatehpur Sikri served as their capital. However, due to the shortage of water in the area, the capital was later shifted to Agra by Mughal emperor Akbar.

On reaching Jaipur, we will drop you at the hotel. Next morning, wake up early and then will commence our Jaipur sightseeing experience. The city is popularly called the ‘Pink city of India as is admired for its architectural heritage, traditions, culinary delights, and jewelry.

Day 5 - Jaipur Sightseeing

Jaipur is an iconic capital city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city has many charming sites and experiences. For all such reasons, the city has got the UNESCO World Heritage Centre recognition. Massive citadels, beautiful forts, palaces, museums, and crafts centers are some of the key highlights of the city. Jaipur is a beloved destination for shoppers where jewelry, costumes, and traditional attires are the center of attraction. 

 

Destination – Amer Fort

Arguably, the biggest monument in the city of Jaipur is the Amer Fort. It is a massive citadel with yellow-clad that looks spectacular from all sides. The combination of the mountain and the lake alongside makes it more spectacular. It was built by Maharaja Man Singh. ‘Maharaja’ means ‘King’ in Hindi and this massive fort was a significant strategic monument in the region. Since the fort is on a hilltop, the ride up can be either done by a Jeep or can opt for an optional Elephant Ride. A Jeep will complete the ride down. 

 

Lunch

The joy of having lunch in a beautiful city has its own amusement. Rajasthani cuisine is distinguishable from the North Indian and Mughlai cuisines. We will take a lunch break after Amer Fort sightseeing. 

 

Destination – City Palace

City Palace is a magnificent palace in Jaipur. This beautiful palace has a museum that displays the heritage and lineage of the royal dynasty along with their accomplishments, weaponry, and artifacts. There are always some or other religious and cultural events happening in the palace. These are also attraction points for tourists.  

 

Destination – Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is a unique styled palace in Jaipur. It looks spectacular due to its distinct design. It has ‘Jharokha’ or a lattice of small windows in front. These look like a honeycomb. It has more than 900 small windows, which helps in making the palace airy and cool. The weather of Jaipur is mostly hot and during summers hotter, these windows keep the inside airy and keep the Mahal cool. Apart from this, the royal ladies of the palace can see the street views without being seen from the outside.

 

Destination – Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is an 18th-century astronomical observatory in Jaipur. It has got 19 unique astronomical apparatus and equipment which still shows perfect results related to the cosmic world. The perfection of these pre-modern observatories makes this Jantar Mantar a popular attraction in the city.

After long sightseeing in Jaipur, it will be time for rest. We will drop you at your hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel and cherish the moments here.

Day 6 - Transfer to Pushkar | Pushkar Sightseeing

Pushkar is a small city near Jaipur and is famous for its landscape views of houses alongside the lake, desert, and mountains in the backdrop. The distance between Jaipur and Pushkar will be covered in around 3 hours. 

 

Destination: Brahma Temple 

The Brahma Temple in Pushkar is a sacred place of worship for the Hindu God Brahma. As per Hindu mythology, Brahma is the creator of the universe. Still, unlike many other Gods, there is only one temple to worship Brahma. The religious site has an important cultural and traditional significance. Spending time in the vicinity of the temple complex is a calming experience. 

 

Desert Safari Experience

The desert safari in Pushkar is quite iconic. We will take you on an expedition to the Indian desert where you can enjoy camel rides in the desert. This place is iconic to capture some really amazing photos and videos. 

 

Boat ride in Pushkar Lake

As dusk will set the tone of the evening, we will make you experience the calming boat ride in Pushkar Lake. The silhouettes of the mountains and houses post sunset are indeed beautiful sights to cherish. 

 

Overnight stay in Hotel 

Get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 - Transfer to Jodhpur | Overnight stay in Jodhpur

The driver from Exquisite Indian Holidays will meet you in the morning. On this day, we will go to Jodhpur. The Blue City Jodhpur is 186 kms far from Pushkar and will consume around 4-5 hours in commute. You will be given sufficient facility breaks in between to ensure maximum comfort and convenience. 

Jodhpur Sightseeing will begin the next day. Our driver will drop you at the hotel for night stay.

Day 8 - Jodhpur Sightseeing

All Rajasthani cities are admired for their rich hospitality and architectural beauty. Similar to the pink cladding of Jaipur, Jodhpur is widely celebrated for its Blue shade. The city is called the ‘Blue City of India’ and the city views from a height are insta-worthy and mesmerizing. 

 

Destination – Mehrangarh Fort

The first and the foremost destination in Jodhpur city is the Mehrangarh Fort. This is one of the grandest and most picturesque forts in the country. Located 122 meters above the plains that surround the fort, it is a massive 1200-acre spread citadel. Words will certainly fall short if we were to describe the grandeur of this massive citadel. It houses several small complexes inside that are beautifully preserved and will catch your eyes for all good reasons. The views from the hilltop fort are just mesmerizing and will make your day for sure.

 

Destination – Jaswant Thada  

Popularly known as the Taj Mahal of the Marwar, Jaswant Thada is a monument dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the King of Jodhpur.  The iconic cenotaph is made with white marble and looks beautiful from all focal points. It is built near the iconic Mehrangarh Fort and the views from here are grand and beautiful. 

 

Lunch – 

After the grand sightseeing of the gargantuan Mehrangarh Fort, it will be time for some feasts. Enjoy your lunch at your preferred restaurants in the city and then will proceed towards exploring the city markets just like the locals. 

 

Local market Walk 

Indian markets are generally crowded and narrow. Still, these are indeed colorful, and filled with people engaging in conversations with one another. We will take you to a local Jodhpur market for a walk where you can experience the true surroundings of an Indian market in real-time.

Day 9 - Drive to Udaipur | Evening Boat ride

Have your breakfast in the hotel and then will drive to the ‘City of Lakes’ Udaipur. It will consume around 4-5 hours to reach Udaipur. We will take small breaks in between for facilities and refreshments. 

 

Destination – Ranakpur Temple  

In the midst of the Aravalli ranges, there lies a beautiful Jain temple whose architecture is jaw dropping. The 15th century temple is popular for its intricate marble inlay and sculpture work in the temple. It is one of the iconic shrines for the Jain community. India is a country with people from all religions. It is indeed a delightful experience to see harmony and cultural heritage of so many people all in the same place. 

 

Experience – Evening Boat Ride 

Udaipur city is primarily known for its beautiful palaces, royalty, heritage and of course the lakes and the views that comes along with it. The views of the lake and the mountains setting by are the best during the dusk and the dawn. In the evening, we will take you to a boat ride that is calming, beautiful and serene. We can bet that time spent in Udaipur will make you fall in love with this city.

Day 10 - Udaipur Sightseeing

Udaipur is a beautiful city known for its beautiful lakes such as Lake Pichola, and Fateh Sagar Lake. On this day, we will spend some time exploring this beautiful city of Udaipur. This will be the last day of your India exploration in this Golden Triangle with Rajasthan tour. 

 

Destination: City Palace

Arguably the most beautiful palace in the city is the City Palace. The flamboyantly built fort is the residence of the royal family of Udaipur. There are museums, court halls, and open spaces from where the lake views can be seen and rejoiced. The fort is massive in size and took almost 400 years in its construction. There are several beautiful complexes inside the fort which are an attraction point for the people visiting this place. 

 

Lunch Break

The city of Lakes has plenty of good restaurants to enjoy the Rajasthani cuisine. Try and taste the authentic, flavorful Rajasthani dishes and treat your belly with the food it cherishes. 

 

Back to Delhi

After the lunch break, our driver will drop you off at the Udaipur domestic airport. Take the memorable moments and memories with you and catch your flight to Delhi. Meet our driver in Delhi, he will drop you off at your suggested location.

Make a temple visit in Udaipur to see & experience the spiritual vibe of this city. There are plenty of Hindu temples in the city which are a center of worship for the Hindu devotees.
