In this Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore, we have got you covered with beautiful Indian cities, historic forts, palaces, and a wildlife expedition that’s one of a kind. Golden Triangle Tour is a tour of three historic Indian cities – Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Each one of them is unique in itself and is dazzled with beautiful forts, palaces, museums, hustling-bustling streets, and a lot more. Just like everyone likes a bit more of everything, we have added an exotic expedition to the Ranthambore National Park –  a prominent tiger reserve and a natural habitat of diverse wildlife.

Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Your Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore by Exquisite Indian Holidays will commence from Delhi,  India’s capital. Our driver & tour guide will meet you at the airport/railway station/hotel for pick up. He will brief you about the tour and then will proceed towards the first destination in the city – Raj Ghat. 

 

Jama Masjid and Rickshaw ride

Jama Masjid is the oldest mosque in Delhi. It was built by the Mughals in 1656 (completion year). It is a beautiful mosque and attracts hundreds of Muslims for prayers every Friday. What makes this mosque more unique is that the mosque is not limited to any religion-specific people. Anyone and everyone can visit and explore this historic mosque in Delhi. A rickshaw is a lightweight three-wheeler used to commute on streets in India/Asia. We’ll take you on a battery-rickshaw ride around Old Delhi and will make you explore this city like a local. A rickshaw ride is an exciting experience for everyone who visits Delhi for the first time. 

 

Destination: Raj Ghat – Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial

In India, Mahatma Gandhi is known as the father of the nation. He was a stalwart politician, freedom fighter, and social activist. He is globally admired for his ideologies and his contribution to the Indian Freedom struggle. Raj Ghat is the memorial of this great Indian leader. Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse, a Hindu extremist a few months after India got independence. Our tour guide will brief you on every detail of this iconic memorial. A walk across the Raj Ghat will make you walk down memory lane to the past events. 

 

Rashtrapati Bhavan and India Gate

India calls its Presidential Palace ‘Rashtrapati Bhawan’ where ‘Rashtrapati’ means the ‘President’ and ‘Bhawan’ means ‘house’. It is a beautiful ‘Neoclassical architecture’ inspired building that is spread across 321 acres (130 hectares). The Rashtrapati Bhawan sightseeing experience will be driving past owing to the limited access of people on specific days and times only.

 

India Gate is an All India War Memorial, built to pay tributes to the 84,000 Indian Army soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice in wars fought between 1914 – to 1921. The war memorial has names of martyr soldiers inscribed on the walls. Soldiers are the pride of any nation and India Gate stands tall to showcase the valor, grit, and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers. There is an Amar Jawan Jyoti (Flame of the Immortal Soldier) at India Gate which is always lit. The Prime Minister of India pays tribute to the Amar Jawan Jyoti every Republic Day (26th Jan). 

 

Lunch Break 

It will be lunch break time after India Gate sightseeing. There are good multi-cuisine restaurants in Delhi where you can take a break and relish the food of your choice. Our driver will drop you at your preferred restaurant.  

 

Drive back to the hotel

After having a filling meal in Delhi, you will be dropped at your hotel. However, if you feel like exploring more of Delhi on this day, you can opt for an additional add on destination Qutub Minar. 

 

Add on Destination: Qutub Minar 

Qutub Minar is one of the iconic minarets in the world. It is also known as Victory Tower. It lies inside the Qutub Complex which is a group of other Mughal-built structures and monuments. The iconic minaret is visible from far distances in the city. Another thing that will amuse you inside the Qutub Complex is the Iron Pillar. It is a 5th Century pillar that is made of iron and is still rust-free. It grasps the attention of people visiting Qutub Minar because of its rust-free properties. 

Day 2 - Delhi sightseeing and transfer to Agra.

On this day, we will be covering a couple of destinations in Delhi and post-lunch, will depart for Agra via Yamuna Expressway. Enjoy your hotel breakfast and then leave for exciting times ahead. 

 

Destination: Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun’s Tomb is a unique Mughal-era monument built by Persian and Indian craftsmen. It is one of the first Islamic monuments which was built with such grand facades. Even the Taj Mahal was built after 80 years of its construction. The Octagonal monument is built with red sandstone with intricate marble inlay work on its walls. 

 

Destination: Gurudwara 

Gurudwara is a sacred place of worship for the Sikhs. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi is a beautiful Gurudwara in the centre of Delhi and is visited by thousands of devotees and tourists from all religions of the world. The iconic shrine is related to the Eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. The pond inside the vicinity enhances the vibes of this sacred place and will give you a sense of tranquillity and peace. 

 

Lunch and transfer to Agra

Delhi city offers a wide range of multi-cuisine restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch. 

 

Post Lunch: Transfer to Agra, overnight stay in the hotel

Once you have had your lunch, it will be time for a commute drive to Agra. All you need to do is sit, relax and enjoy the scenic views en route to Agra. There will be facility breaks in between so as to stretch yourself up and get some refreshments.  Upon reaching Agra, our driver will drop you at the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3 - Agra Sightseeing

Agra city was one of the most prominent cities of the Mughals. Because of its strategic location in the plains, it remained the capital for a long time. During the rulings of the Mughals, the city went through enormous development of the monuments. These monuments today are a centre of attraction for people coming to this city. 

 

Destination: Taj Mahal  – Wonder of the world

In the early morning, our driver will pick you up for Taj Mahal sightseeing. Taj Mahal is best viewed either during sunrise or else during sunset. The shaft of sunlight falls on the ivory-white monument and turns its white colour into golden-yellow hues. People say it is at its best when seen during the sunrise. We recommend you to wake up early in the morning so that you can make the most of this wonder of the world. 

 

Agra Fort – Residence of the Mughals

Agra Fort was the prime residence of the Mughals when Agra served as the capital of the Mughal Empire. Agra Fort is a red sandstone fort near the Taj Mahal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the views from the fort are mesmerizing. There are several small beautiful complexes inside the Agra Fort which are soothing to the eyes when matched with leafy gardens and trees.

For the love of your exploration, take a break and enjoy a scrumptious lunch at any of your suggested restaurants in Agra 

 

Marble and Inlay work walkthrough – 

Since the inception of the Mughal construction in Agra, generations of people have mastered their skills in handicrafts and marble inlay work. Agra is world-famous for its rugs and carpet industry. As an option, you can add a Marble and Inlay work walk-through to this tour and experience the making of the world-famous rugs and carpets in real-time. 

 

Mehtab Bagh (If time permits)

Mehtab Bagh is a Charbagh (Persian and Indo-Persian Quadrilateral garden) complex on the opposite side of the Taj Mahal. A walk across the garden will certainly be one of the most blissful moments in the city. The reason is that the garden is situated on the riverbank of Yamuna and in the background you get to see the magnificent views of the Taj Mahal. 

Day 4 - Transfer to Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri

On Day 4 of your Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore wildlife experience, you will be transferred to Ranthambore National Park. The commute time between the two destinations will be around 5-6 hours. Ranthambore National Park is a national Tiger Reserve where you will get to see India’s National animal – Tiger along with other wildlife species such as Crocodiles, Sambar, Jungle Cat, Caracal, and more. Seeing animals in their natural habitat is one of the comforting experiences of nature in its purest form. En route to Ranthambore, there is another UNESCO World Heritage Site – Fatehpur Sikri. You will spend some time at Fatehpur Sikri. 

 

Optional Add ons – Destination: Fatehpur Sikri & Abhaneri

Fatehpur Sikri is an old Mughal-styled monument between Agra and Jaipur. It remained the capital for the Mughals for a short period of around 14 years. Due to a lack of water in and around the area, the Mughals abandoned it. Fatehpur Sikri is huge and houses several elegant structures inside it. 

Abhaneri is a small village enroute Ranthambore National Park. It is an 8th and 9th century built stepwell. The unique symmetric structure of the stepwell is a testament to the exceptional engineering Indians posed centuries ago. 

 

Arrival and Overnight stay in Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park has good hotels inside the jungle. A  stay over here will be one of a kind for you.  You will be dropped off at your pre-booked hotel in Ranthambore. Get acclimatised with the surroundings and enjoy the vibes of nature all around.

Day 5 - Ranthambore National Park

Ensure that you wake up early in the morning (by at least 30 minutes before sunrise). The sightseeing in Ranthambore will be in two parts – first, that will be conducted in the early morning, second in the afternoon and the third sightseeing will be optional one and if opted, will be conducted in the next morning. 

 

Upon completion of the first drive, you will be returned back to the hotel. Also, the snacks will be served at the hotel. The second visit will be in the afternoon. 

 

A dense jungle with so much adventure coming up ahead is undoubtedly an amazing day to wake up to. Wake up at least 30 minutes before the sunrise and get ready to pap the wildlife that awaits you. With the chirping of birds all around, we will go early in the morning for sightseeing. The breakfast is planned after the first sightseeing in the morning. A jungle safari tour guide will take you to areas where there is a great possibility of spotting tigers. The second jungle sightseeing will be in the afternoon. Ranthambore National Park is home to tigers along with many other wild animals. Carry binoculars and a camera with a Zoom lens for the best experience. Overnight stay in Ranthambore hotel. You can opt for a third sightseeing visit to the jungle the next morning.

Day 6 - Transfer to Jaipur

After spending a couple of days in the wild, travel to the Pink city of India – Jaipur. Our driver will come to pick you up and will proceed with the journey. The first destination in Jaipur will be the Amer Fort – a massive citadel elegant enough to fall in love with it. 

 

Amer Fort

Amer Fort, also called the Amber Fort is an elegant citadel in Jaipur. It is situated on the sidelines of Maota Lake. The fort is famous for its unique architecture and design elements. The beautiful fort houses many complexes inside it and each one carries its own heritage, significance, and opulence. The ride to the top of the fort can be covered through a Jeep or you can opt for an elephant ride. The ride back from the fort will be by a Jeep only. 

 

Lunch Break 

Rajasthani cuisines are delicious and full of spices. The dishes are engulfed with traditional Indian spices and aromatic seeds that bring in extravagant tastes and flavors. Enjoy your lunch in Jaipur at any restaurant of your choice.  

 

Destination: City Palace – 

The City Palace of Jaipur is arguably the most beautiful residential palace in the city. It is beautiful and is built by the founder of Jaipur city – Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Unlike Delhi and Agra, monuments in Jaipur are inspired by the Rajputana style of architecture. These are elegant in design matched with intricate artwork and clad with pastel color shades.


Destination: Hawa Mahal  – Wind Palace

Hawa Mahal is another beautiful palace beside the City Palace. It is built on the backside of the City Palace. The street views are the best to admire the beauty of Hawa Mahal. While walking on the streets, you will notice that most of the buildings here are painted with a uniform shade of pink. This is one of the reasons why Jaipur city is called the Pink city of India. 

 

Destination: Jantar Mantar – 18th Century Astronomical Observatory

Jantar Mantar is an 18th-century astronomical observatory in Jaipur. It is one of the most iconic pre-modern observatories in the world. Experts claim that is quite accurate when it comes to understanding the movements of planets and other cosmic events. 

 

Explore like a local

There is such a vibe in exploring the Jaipur city streets. The age-old markets are colorful, vibrant and can be considered for shopping souvenirs from Jaipur. 

 

Drop at hotel

It is very likely that considering the day and destination structure of Jaipur sightseeing, by this time, it will be evening. Our driver will drop you at the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Day 7 - Back to Delhi

This will be the last day on the Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore National Park experience. You will be dropped off in Delhi and the commute time in between the cities will be around 5-6 hours. However, you can also opt for domestic flight from Jaipur to Delhi as per your convenience.
